I have always liked to express myself on a creative level. From a very early age I discovered the joys of self
expression and have enjoyed testing this with many mediums. In my teens I was driven and excited by any art units
that were available in my country school. I would paint and draw on any surface that was available and place my
personal stamp on most things in my home. I was always so filled with ideas and stories, colours and scenes would
burst, as if my dreams would come to life.  I studied Art and Design for a while at Tafe and touched lightly on Photography. It wasn’t until my late 20s when I started my own pattern business that I picked up a camera once again.
I delighted in the colours and stories I could create with my lens and went on to teach myself digital photography and programs like Photoshop. A wonderland of fun started to surface and I could see a portfolio of my own dream like images coming together. Much like the designs I created for my customers, my photography had that same
whimsical and surreal over tone….my new passion had begun.

I often sit and wonder where my excitement developed for these types of images. Growing up, I always remember
the beautiful bound story books that I treasured; my little collection was priceless and much loved. I adored the illustrations and mystical themes that glossed the pages. Now in my 30s….I can’t believe I am… I draw so much inspiration from these fairy tales….the strange characters, the lavish costumes, the vivid colours, all of these things
I like to show through the lens and I draw much from these classic tales. My mind is always bursting with excitement
to get with others to create something magical. I love to capture the essence, the often overlooked element and
natural soul in a person. A lot of my favourite images are quite candid and were taken when the model was not
aware. Conceptual pieces are my own craving and the juice for my creative heart.

Now living in Adelaide, I have a new and delicious playground for my camera and
am inspired daily by the vast locations and interesting characters I meet. I love to create with my digital camera and
also have a home darkroom and enjoying playing again with film. I am growing into my photography shoes and filling them with new learning experiences each day. Many thanks go out to all the amazing beings that help me to grow,
make me laugh and most importantly, make me believe. I feel blessed to have created art with so many inspiring
and beautiful souls.
